All the usual grandma stuff, but it requires lots of travel and FT.
Worked as a "Guardian ad Litem," representing children in difficult divorce cases
Developed a knack for fundraising for charities: $15k for the Leukemia, Lymphoma Society (LLS) and another $15k for the first free hospital for children with cancer in sub-Saharan Africa,
Served on the Salt Lake Council 2014-2018

-Proselyting mission- Switzerland Geneva 1980-81
-Government Relations Representative to the United Nations for Latter-day Saint Charities, New York City 2018-2019
-Executive Director- Geneva Office for Human Rights Education (LDS Human Rights Education Global Initiative)
Had a great time teaching a class entitled, "The Law in Literature."
I still love to ski, spend time in the mountains, visit big cities, see Broadway shows, and read. Spending time with friends and family energizes me.
I like nothing better than spending time with our far-flung grandchildren (13 of them: 14, 13,13, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1! Reading Harry Potter with them, over Facetime, is especially fun

One of my favorite memories is when East took state in football in 1974 and a whole bunch of the Pep Club sat on the "E" across from East, singing, "On East High School" as we held candles and people drove by on 13th East, honking at us.

Another laughable memory was the a'cappella trip to the East Coast. We had been led to believe that we had concerts scheduled, when in fact, they were all impromptu. We needed an actual travel planner, but we had Mr. Gould. Our motel outside of DC, in Maryland, rented most of the rooms by the hour! Quite an eye-opener for innocent kids from Salt Lake. Never-the-less, we had a great time.
