School Story
My East High story started years before I attended as a student. My Dad worked as a janitor at East for many years before and after I attended.
When I was in 6th grade at Ensign Elementary, I was called out of class on a Friday afternoon to report to the principal's office. My Dad had called the principal and gotten permission for me to leave school early and attend the East High football game with my Dad.
Dad had seats for us on the school roof. After the game, we raked up trash under the bleachers. Also, when I played football at East, Dad had the photography teacher take an action picture of me, which Dad gave to me for Graduation.
When I first attended East High, I was afraid kids would make fun of me and my Dad because he was a janitor. But that did not happen at all. In fact, Dad told me that he felt more respected and appreciated during the those years.
Upon reflection of my high school years, you were all very good people that helped me in many ways. The girls were the best, especially one in particular.
I met my wife Issa, 9 years after high school and we married a year latter. She has blessed my life greatly. The good example of the girls I knew in high school, helped me to have the patience to find her.
Sports were great when we won and tough when we lost. But, the memories of good buddies warms my heart to this day.
Thanks to all of you for being nice to my Dad and for a great high school experience.
